Its not just food that comes from China that is making it difficult for people to make a living these days, look at electronics, clothes, valves, fittings, etc. There is always someone getting something made in China for the lowest possible cost then bringing it back to N.America for sale.
My personal opinion is avoid buying anything made in China for 2 reasons, 1) Its likely defective and 2)we just perpetuate the slave labour mentality their government has. My 2 cents.
