Your 544 is a hydro. Hydros don't always work best for plowing, because the oil in the trans. gets hot and thins out while you're pulling hard. They are great for planting though. You've got the D-239 German diesel, which is the 4-cylinder version of the D-358 six cylinder. Our 786 has the D-358. Those German Diesels are very strong, reliable engines, so even you should have a hard time blowing it up. (just kidding)
