All the posts are good advice. I have seen the old original wires broken inside the light bar tube as well as grounding problems that were mentioned, if you have a multimeter check for DC voltage at the wire with you meter, place one meter lead on the wire and the other to a good ground. Meter should read the battery voltage if the wire is good.
