I am 64. Drove a B for one summer when I was 12. My Dad lost the farm shortly after (same thing these days) so I did not get to drive it after that. My older brother and farm hands drove it prior to that. I was pretty young, but I don't remember my dad having any problems with the lift or the tractor for that matter. As I said I used it the last year we had it and it gave no problems -- true, it was not as good as modern hydraulics. I think the pneumatic lift is getting a bad rap, as I have read nothing good about it on this board. But, IF you can find the parts and rebuild it as new (good trick) it will work fine. Remember the thing is 50+ years old, and will not be as good as the tractor.
