Two weeks ago I awoke around 2:30 in the morning and when I came downstairs I heard a motor running. So I peeked out the back door to see a pickup with a trailer sitting in front of a couple my farmalls. There were two guys standing at the backside of the A, and a third person was sitting in the truck. The ramp on the trailer was already down. So I went and got my old trusty M-16 and went out for a look-see. Well I don't know if the rifle scarred them or the sight of me looking like baby huey standing there in my underwear. The two guys jumped in the bed of the pickup and off they went, sparks just a flying from the lowered ramp. I tried to get the tag number, but they had covered both the truck and trailer tags. I contacted the police, when they arrived I told of what had taken place only to be told by one of them that there was noithing that they could do about it as nothing had been stolen. My girlfriend told them that I had gone outside with a loaded rifle to stop them. When they heard this they wanted to lock me up for having a weapon that had a 30 round clip in it. After that was over I took every kind of number that I could find on all of my tractors and made a list of them. I also added pictures of each tractor to the files. Ya never know who may want to BORROW your tractor, nor what time that they wish to pick it up. Only problem is that they would probably have stripped it and sole the parts.
