I just pulled and changed the senging unit on my IH 340 U. The big poblem(time)is removing both sections of the hood. Changing out the unit is a breeze. I wound up using a universal sender; couldn't find new one. Also had to replace the guage. These are available from Bates. Make sure it is the correct one with the same height. Recently I did find a source of used sending units. Remember your tractor is positive ground and 6 volts. Contact me if I can help.
