Hy Tran in a 186 hydro's engine

A neighbor of mine is haveing an auction this spring, and he has a really nice 186 Hydro that has only 2000 hours, but it broke my heart when i heard he put Hy-Tran in the engine one time. This is only a rumor, but would this really hurt the engine, cause if it does im not even gonna think about buying it, cause all i need is another problem. If i got it i was gonna use it in a hay baler.
