Gary are you going to buy or borrow a trailer? the trailer I use is a 7000# GVW car hauler with a tilt-bed. It's 16' with a 2' dove-tail. My tractor with a bushog just fits. Works great with narrow front tractors since there's no ramps to mess with. You just jack up the bed and drive the tractor on. I usually try to park so the trailer is going down hill so there is less of an angle when I'm loading or unloading. I use two 14' "log" chains and chain binders. You should be able to get them at TSC or any similar place, probably run around $100 for all. I haul an M around and my trailer is just about its limit. If I had it to do over I would get a 10,000 GVW trailer just for a little margin of error. I looked for 6 mo. for a used trailer but they wanted too much and most of the were beat so I bought new. One weird thing I saw is that some people put used tires on the new trailers they sell, I'd never spend money on a new one like that and risk a blowout carrying something as heavy as a tractor. And get brakes, on both axles if possible. Good luck! (Where in Oh. are you going?)
