I've read in the service manual what the material is, but it's a Proprietory name, not a nowmal steel clasification. The actual seat area on the valve is induction hardened... tool would be $$$$, May be able to flame harden. I know high perf. car engine valves are made from some class of stainless steel. Probably the best idea would be to get hold of a company that makes high performance race engine valves... See what They could come up with.
