Chuck, what's cracked, the manifold tubes themselves or the flange where the studs pass through from the head? If it's like the A/B/Cs, the latter is by design. The washer under the nut on those two studs is a different size from the others and acts as a spacer to bridge that gap while holding down both sides. (If the Hs weren't made this same way, I'm hoping The Red or one of the other H specialists can jump in here to correct me!) If the cracks are actually out on the "tubes", I'd think it might not be a problem with light work. But I'd guess from the pictures on you page (nice photos of a nice tractor, by the way!) you get that manifold glowing from time to time. I'd track down that miss and eliminate other causes before I replaced the manifold. My 2c. Scotty
