1958 to 1963 IH-340 Diesel

A friend of mine has a international 340 with what I believe is a D-166 4cyl. diesel engine.It keeps blowing the head gasket at the rear of the no.4 cyl..Has anyone else with one of these engines had problems with this or other problems with this particular engine.Any information on this engine would be appreciated.Thanks David.
