Is the number on the block 6342DH rather than 6432DH? The number you gave is the water outlet housing. Swapping the 2 middle digits would be the block. Any number ending with D or with D followed by another letter is a part number, not that helpful for determining a date. The only way there would be no number stamped into the engine is if it was a replacement block. Clean it and look carefully. The engine number is STAMPED IN not cast in like the part numbers. The 9*4*O is a date code, the date the raw casting was produced. This one is September 4, 1945. It is unusual for a tractor that late to be totally stripped with no starter. Maybe it IS a replacement block. Look the tractor over for other date codes of the same format as the one on the block. You might find them on the other large castings. After a raw casting is produced, it is machined into a finished part at a later date. Then at some even later date, it is used to build a tractor.
