I wiped out your e-mail before I wrote down your serial #. I think it was 77,??? that would make it a '36 and should be gray. I would guess that it had the F-14 parts addded to it after it left the factory. I think this was fairly common and if you have spent much time driving an F-12 you would know why. According to Guy Fay they started painting the tractors red in Nov 1 1936 which was when 1937 serial #s started. I'm not sure about the 1550 Rpm. The Nebraska test book says the F-12 was rated at 1400 and the F-14 was rated at 1650. I think the RPM on the plate was no-load speed and the Nebraska test book was listing speed at rated load. So I would say 1550 would be correct for no-load speed for an F-12.
