'50 H MW live hydraulics help

I have a '50 H with live 2-way hydraulics. I think the pump was made by M&W. It runs off the distributor gear.

I LOVE having live hydraulics, and I'd like to keep the pump running forever. Is any service required on a pump like this? What can I do in the way of preventative maintenance to prolong my pump's life? How long of a lifespan do hydraulic pumps have? Does M&W still exist and if so how can I contact them?
