YOu're right on top of it, JD. The throwout bearing for the basic Super C was the old graphite block. CHewed my old one up when one of the springs let go after my rebuild. Things worked out that I replaced it with the more conventional-type bearing. Working like a champ. This thread makes me want to go have a closer look at my sister-in-law's brother's SuperC. They've been farming tobacco for years and I'm just wonering if his isn't rigged with the Hydra-Creeper for setting out plants. Scotty
