Hello Zonie. The seals are rope type. If the spanner nuts aren't bottomed out, tighten until they feel snug or stop leaking. I have to retorque mine about every year if that shaft is beinig used.
There was Heisler aftermarket grease seal housings to replace the rope with modern seals. I would say just look for the spanner nut to determine yours. Ed
