This engine and oil pump system is very reliable, they leak at every joint but still not enough to starve engine of oil, easiest place to start is take oil pump off side of engine, take housing apart, there is a relief calve cartridge inside, perhaps its stuck or chip lodged inside, also another valve on rear lower header that supports the oil cooler right next to oil pump, maybe same fault, if nothing else find a used pump from any DT361-1206 or DT407-1256-1456-915D(early) and try it. If this dont fix it assuming guage is correct I dont know what else it could be.
