I live in North Central Mississippi and have a family farm in North Central Alabama. I keep one tractor at each place on a permanent basis and have two that travel back and forth as needed. Tractors earn their keep doing maintenance and landscaping. My job does not allow me to spend enough time on the farm for crops or animals. It is tough to have the land and equipment paid for and face the reality that the best financial move is to leave it parked. Other post have indicated that many face the tough choice of leaving the land you love inorder to make a living or to be able to hold on to the land.
