Thank You, For the paint I choose what we use at work on various equipment. It was painted with a total of 20, 15oz spray cans of: RUST-OLEUM "Professional" High Performance Enamel "Safety Red #7564". I cleaned it real good with spray cans of oven cleaner, and a high pressure washer. Then wire brushed, and sanded all metal work.Filled any remaining pitts with auto body glazing putty, resanded and primed all with Rust-Oleum red primer. Tried to take my time with the spray cans (used a can holder, it made a difference too). Gave it 2 coats of primer, then 3 finishing coats of red, lightly sanding with wet paper between each coat. Used Rust-Oleum also on the rims. Would have liked to have used a air sprayer rig, but did not have one available. It cost somewhere around $185.00 for all painting suppiles totaled.
