You may be right but I put a 1940 M that had been sitting in pole barn for 30 years in service last year. This tractor had seen many years of hard work before it was parked. I may be living on borrowed time but after running 100 gals. of gasoline through it the tractor runs good the only leak it has is a slight oil leak behind govener. It has used 1 qt. of oil the clutch and brakes work perfect and the transmission sounds good. I did pull PTO and look inside when I had gear lube drained and there was not the slightest sign of rust in that end. Sometimes you get lucky.
