Scotty... that should work for you. A lot of people, including me, use stuff up to/beyond what it was designed for. I have a Southern six foot medium duty. The gearcase is rated to 65 HP. It really chops stuff up when I get into the brush. Mostly I cut the grass at the 'country estate'. I probably could have gotten by with a used one, or a lighter duty, but I wanted it RIGHT NOW $$$$$ I've got to work on the impulse buying. sod good luck
