IH parts from deere dealers???

I saw something in one of the posts here a while back about being able to get parts for IH's from deere dealers, also being able to get them faster and cheaper. If someone could verify that they can at least be purchased from a deere dealer that would be great. I don't want to start a colour war but it would seem that if parts can be obtained faster and cheaper then that might be the way to go. Also my "local" IH dealer is an hour's drive away, I don't have my license, and there is a deere dealer at the end of my road. Thanks in advance. SAm in NS
