WilliamF I looked at your pictures. Very inspiring. It looks like you just dug a 'donut' circle with the back-hoe, around the island. I hadn't thought of using a back-hoe and leaving the island in the middle. Do you have fish in your pond? I hope to put catfish in my future pond. Incidentally, our black clay around here, (as the old timers say,) "holds water like a jug."
