I don't think it's so much cell phones being dangerous as people not knowing their limitations and not giving driving the proper attention it needs. I use my cell phone on occasion while driving but I might take as much as 2 minutes to dial a number 'cause I dial 2-3 digits at a time so my eyes aren't off the road for more than a sec or two. (About the same amount I allow to check my speed, gauges etc.) I don't make it a habit to talk a lot while driving. I was taught that you check your mirrors every 20 sec., I don't know what they teach today. I always use my right hand for the phone so I can still use the turn signals. (Just being courteous, not to mention it's the law) People do so many things that distract them from the road, eating, reading, talking, putting on make-up. I really feel people don't have the skills and are more inconsiderate today. I'm a firefighter in Columbus, Oh. and it amazes me what people do. You just have to be careful and watch out for all the other drivers on the road. I try to be like an air traffic controller and keep track of all the other drivers around me. I've got no sympathy for the people driving drunk tho' Nuff' said.

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
