My dad would say the -06 series because of its inline shifing transmission and the gas versions were hard on fuel. Local salesman would say the 4166 and 4156, steering linkage bent and tranys dying. My choice is the 1468 and 1568, that v8 was not built to ag standards, neat idea, wrong motor. The 4568 had the same duribility proablems with the DV-800. Swap in a Cummins and they are good tractors. Another one is the start on gas diesels, by the time off the 400 they shoulda had a direct start motor like the british MD had as an option at least. I know these choices won't be popular and they are NOT made with the collector or the enthusist in mind but from the guy that has to make a living with these machines. None of my choices are terible tractors, they just coulda been done better. farmer kev
