The SERIAL NUMBER on the engine would be a raised area usually on the right side of block up front under # 1 sparkplug (but can be maybe on the left side). It's about 3/4 inch by 2 - 3 inches, machined smooth with a STAMPED NUMBER on it. The PREFIX LETTERS would be IDBK (or IDBKM) for the International Ind. Diesel ID-6 tractor. Whenever seeking information on any tractor or crawler - always give both PREFIX LETTERS and the SERIAL NUMBERS for that tractor. The ID-6 was made from 1940 to 1953.
