Change the oil in the injection pump. I guess you are aware, it has a small oil sump of of it's own. The little petcock on the side of it is the fill level. Use the same oil as in the engine. Also, you might want to get a new fuel pressure gage. When you get it going on gas, if the gage shows pressure in the run range, it's a pretty good bet it's going to run on diesel. Also, good suggestion by Bob M. I believe I actually used some penetrant to squirt in the cylinders in my case.
