Ohms law is the better desciption, Volts equals amps times resistance. I kinda figgered that the generator wouldn't make enough juice to fire a couple 55 or 60 watt lights, and keep the battery charged up. Just didn't want to spend money on a battery AND an alternator. I've got a F11 loader on the tractor, and the original lights just shine on the loader frame & arms. I plan to move the lights to the top of the loader frame and thought I might as well use some modern 12 volt units.
