Power steering was an option on the 350U as well as the 300U, and is well worth having if you use a loader. If you aren't using a loader or anything front mounted, you could probably get along without it. The 350U is a slightly updated version of the 300U, and I am very pleased with my 300U. They are generally available around here (western Washington) for less than the price of a Ford 8N and have lots more power, more weight for better traction, power up AND down on the hitch, live hydraulics, Independent PTO, and often have a Torque Amplifier. The down side is that some chassis parts aren't as readily available as for the Farmalls, and the steering setup is not as sturdy as I would like to see. If you can find one in good condition for under $2500, you should definitely consider it.
