I have an H and know it's limitations fairly well. You said you wanted to plant and cut some brush. as far as planting goes you should be fine. When it comes to cutting brush you might think a bit, the H doesn't have a live pto meaning every time you push in the clutch the bush hog will slow down and eventually stop, it's not impossible to work with but it makes it more difficult.
Most H's don't have live Hydraulics unless they've been converted by a previous owner. Also they didn't have a 3 point hitch, unless an aftermarket hitch was installed. Both of these items are make the tractor much more useful, and will work with the more modern implements.
If your set on finding a H look around to see if you can find one with the 3 point already installed and has live hydraulics. If you have plenty of H's around where you live you just might find one.
If you find one with a tired engine figure that it will cost around $1000 to rebuild the engine if you do most of the work yourself.
But I love my H and work the heck out of it!
