I bet the thing is 6788 has the shift levers on the RH side of the seat, like the 5488 would. Seems like I remember reading that in Ken Updike's book. However like was mentioned, it is basically the 3788 transmission with an electric TA in there, giving the "appearance" of shifting like a 50 series IH. I'm envious. I'd love to have a 3388 myself.
