I have a question relative to a 8060 gasoline head that I purchased recently, which according to my machinist, has cracks in each of the firing chambers. Is it worth fixing this head or is it better to look for another one? Are these cracks usually surface cracks, in that they don't push through to the water jacket? I'm still trying to get hold of the guy who sold it to me a month or so ago - Funny how they can make themselves scarce when there's a problem! This is one problem that we don't have with our Deeres very often.... :) Lastly, if anyone has a good (i.e. checked) 450 gas head (preferable), or 8060 (or its replecement), I'd be interested in hearing from you with a price, especially if you are within a reasonable proximity to Syracuse, NY. Thanks for the help!
