A friend asked me to help him with an electrical problem on his 454D. He recently had the alternator rebuilt by a shop and after he reinstalled it, the ammeter stills show discharge. Anyone have a wiring diagram or suggestions on what we should look for to be sure its charging. I think its Lucas electrics, and wonder if someone reversed the wires some time. Should it Neg or Pos ground and would it run if it was reversed at the battery. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
