Steve - The diagram above shows a typical DPDT switch setup. To operate your Hobbs meter wire the "+" on the Hobbs in place of the warning light in the diagram, and wire the magneto kill terminal exactly as shown. A DPDT (double pole double throw) switch is two electrically isolated switches in a single unit and which operate in unison. Radio Shack stocks several different types of DPDT switches which will work. Make sure you get a 2-position switch - NOT a 3-position (or "center off') switch.
