Thanks, Dennis R. Sarrazine for your comments, my experience is the same as yours. One WFE I have came with a 'home made' steering adapter plate to allow for the difference in steering bolt patterns. Dick, the orginal widefronts were designed to allow for the installation of sugar beet harvestors under the belly of the tractor. It was long and complex machine and needed every inch of space to fit, hence the tie rods were in front. There is an excellent picture of an with one installed on page 115 of Randy Leffingwell's "International Harvestor Tractors"
