Check the cam shaft for ware and the bottom of the lifters . Pull the engine out of the chaisse and do a complet overhaul check the crank for ware and regrind if it is on the high side of the spec. check the deck of the block for true ness and also the head . And when you do install the new sleves and pistons fit each piston to the sleve and allow 4.5 th. clearance. DO NOT go any less and after it is running give it at least 30 to 40 hours of light to med work load or you stand a chane of sezing the the piston to the sleave and use 93 octain gas , and i know someone will disagree with me but i know from fist hand experance. I don't care where you get the engine kit from you will get cast pistons and not forged and they are not as good as the OEM where.
