Maybe I'm just a 'fraidy-cat, but I wouldn't pull that combination of truck/trailer/tractor around the block. I have a 3/4 ton Chevy 4x4 rated to pull 10,000 lbs WITH an equalizer hitch. I pull a 10,500 lb rated tandem axle trailer with brakes on both axles and use a 2 5/16th inch ball that's rated at 10,000 lbs. The trailer weighs around 1500 lbs empty. I use this trailer to haul a Farmall H which weighs around 4000 lbs. Thus the total weight of my load should be around 5500 lbs. Maybe that's a bit of overkill but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Just my $.02 worth. FM
