Hi Marv, first of all have you tried greasing the axel bearings? On my M and WD 6 this turned out to be a much simpler fix. Next on my W-6 I had to change the right rear wheel, the casting had cracked. It was a nightmare! Unless the cast wheel is fairly free (ie a little penetrant and sweat} I would opt to take off the platform and remove the bull gear and slide the whole axel/wheel assembly out as a unit. Do not put a jack between the wheel and the fender mounts, no matter how good it looks I broke mine off and had to replace the whole part Good luck!
