I appssome you are using one of the front mounted planters. IH made a fertilizer attachment that mounted in a frame forward of the the planter frame. It was driven from a shaft on the planter frame. It could be used with the planter or for side dressing with the cultivators. I don't think you would want to put fertilizer down any of the planter mechanism as it is rather delicate.
