My Farmall H isn't an investment in money so much as an investment in our past (if that makes any sense). I didn't grow up on a farm, although I live on one now. The first tractor I ever drove was the 1941 Farmall M I bought in February of 2001. So I don't have a long family tradition in farming or agriculture of any sort. My current '49 H is not only a working tractor for the farm, but it is my gateway to a more simple time and place- a time and place much needed in today's fast paced, throwaway society. It is a he!! of a lot cheaper than therapy and a whole lot more fun. It allows me to relax like nothing else - even when I'm up to my elbows in grease and dirt! So, I guess in addition to being an investment in our past, it is also an investment in MY future - a future I hope I'll be around to enjoy for a long time with my tractors.
