Yes - you must take the headlight supply (and any other electrical load including the ignition) from the "+" or "GEN" terminal of the ammeter in order for it to indicate correctly. If the ammeter terminals are not marked, make the connection to the ammeter terminal that's hooked to the BAT terminal on the 10SI.
