Well, just about anything can be fixed. If it is just rusted, I think I would try removing the rust then test-fit a new race. If the race fits tight, your problem is solved. If not, you can take it to a full-service machine shop (not just an automotive machine shop) and they should be able to either bore it out and press in a bushing for the new race to fit into or they could build it up and re-machine the surface.
