Charles: Funny you should ask! We're working on that question this morning with my own Super C. The other posters seem to be right on target. Any leaking from the outer seal means the inner seal isn't sealing and -- if you're anywhere close to the inner seals -- it's worth a shot at replacing them,... or putting some kitty litter on the shop floor and counting on wiping off the end of the axle housings when you want to show off your tractor. Keep on wrenching. RedTed/MO.
