You have enough clearance to bore but the problem may be the head. The 4 gas starting valves are in such close proximety with the running intake and exhaust that increased heat through combustion may crack it. This was a problem with IH's early diesel engines. However with proper cooling fluids and reasonable cool down periods these engines held together well. I dont know if the 9 series or diesels for that matter were actually produced with domed pistons for high altitude. If they were it should be in the suffix code. LOL
