You can take the 335 out to 4.5 bore (350 cid). As for boreing the block to except larger sleeves, I wouldn't. If you happen to have a thin spot due to 50 years of some inner water jacket deteration and you go through the water jacket your in big trouble. The head for a TD9 335 (260692R61) and the head for a 600D 350 (260692R71) basicly the same. The R61 verses R71 usually means that there is some update improvement but will interchange. The Cam shafts have the same part number. The crank shafts are differenct. The Exhaust manifolds are different but the intake manifold (263310R12 for 335) and (263310R13 for 350) are the same except for some minor update. The Rods are the same, Carberator is the same but the injector pump and injectors are different. No doubt the pump and injectors would work if you go to 350 cid. IH used different part numbers for injector that had a higher injection pressure. Same for the injection pump, little more volume different part number. As far as the accessaries, starter, water pump, oil filter, distributor or Mag, those will inter change. I think the exhaust manifold will inter change. I have a TD9 with the 335 and an International 600 with the 350. I have the over bore sleeves and pistons 4 & 5/8 370 cid) in my 600. As soon as My TD9 needs an overhaul I plan on putting the 4 & 1/2 sleeves and pistons in. There are not high altitude pistons available for the Gas start diesels. There is any room in the head for domed pistons. The head is pretty much flat. The only recess in the head is for the valves.
