Hey, give a try on the "tractor shed" click on the "Cub" section and you can get a lot of good information. If you are going to mow only 2.5 acres, the cub is perfectly adequate. I restored mine about 18 months ago,( it was "froze -up") and it gives me good service,..Mine is a 1959 model with hydraulics and "fast-tach" hitch, which is really neat !! The 48 inch mower is better than the 60 inch one, but they both "scalp" on un-even ground, the 48" one leaves flat areas where the tire mashes down the grass...the 60' will cure that problem, but it's a might much for a cub !!
