Right on Farmer Bob! Some of my fondest memories were spring plowing under a full moon. However most of my experience was with an Oliver 1850 (gas) pulling 6x16's. Something about the still night air interrupted by the roar of the big 6 cylinder motor working it's guts out - hard to describe really. (Also was neat to kill the lights and observe the angry yellow-blue flame which stood a good foot or more beyond cherry red muffler/stack - looked for all the world like an inverted rocket stuck to the hood!) Now when I do heavy tillage after after dark it's sealed inside a temperature-controlled sound guard cab while listening to the oldies in FM stereo - somehow just isn't the same...
