I've asked the same question. In the mid '50s IHC was cameing out with new designs every two years. The H and M were very strong, they built the 300 & 400 and then came out with the 350 (39HP) & the 450 and 650. I have heard with the fast design changes they couldn't get the engine correct for the 350. But why didn't they continue with the 300 in the 350. So in other words I've not herd reason that washes.
