Have you checked for fuel to the carb and into it. You could have a plug in the tank, strainer, line, or and add on filter. Another possibility is a carb problem not allowing fuel into the bowl. My M has a float that will occassionally stick in the closed position (up) and not allow fuel into the bowl and I will get a problem similar to what you have (run 2 minutes and die). Take the bowl drain out and make sure there is gas in the carb. If not, tap the carb near the fuel inlet and knock the float loose. Long term fix is a carb kit if that's the problem. Still sounds electrical, but this is some more info. Good luck. Doc.
