I owned a 1968 856 IH for 12 years and couldnt destroy it.That D407 is a great engine.It was turboed and was run in the field at 150 horses.It was pulled as a 12,000 lb SS pulling tractor for 5 years at nearly 400 horses and later on as a field stock at 200 horses.It was about as tough of a tractor as I have ever seen and they are a great old work horse.As far as I knew it had the original TA in it when I sold it in 1986.I sure wish I had it back.Here are some pictures of it.
